The wait is over for Anbernic RG Vita owners! GammaOS Next v1.3.1 has officially arrived, bringing a massive Android 14 / LineageOS 21 experience specifically tuned for the Unisoc T820 platform. This is the very first GammaOS Next release for the RG Vita, and it is packed with features to turn your handheld into a dedicated gaming powerhouse! 🎮
This update introduces GammaOS Nano, an ultra-fast, XMB-style boot-to-game menu. It allows you to bypass the full Android desktop and launch directly into RetroArch or DraStic in seconds. Plus, with the new Quick Resume feature (using R1), you can power your device off and jump right back into your last session seamlessly!
What’s New in v1.3.1:
- GammaOS Nano: A lightweight launcher with XMB or List modes for a “pickup-and-play” experience.
- Native OTA Updates: No more manual flashing for every small tweak—the device can now pull updates directly from the GammaOS server!
