Lime 3DS Emulator – Azahar 2125.0.1
Azahar 2125.0.1 is officially live! This open-source 3DS emulator (built from the Citra lineage) just took a massive leap forward in performance and usability across all platforms.
Whatโs New in this Release:
- ๐ Insane Loading Speeds (Android Vanilla): Thanks to native file I/O, booting the HOME menu has plummeted from ~45 seconds to under 5 seconds!
- โจ Smooth, Stutter-Free Gameplay: A new disk shader cache for the Vulkan renderer eliminates that annoying shader compilation stutter during your sessions.
- ๐ฎ RetroArch Integration: Azar is now available as `libretro/RetroArch` cores across Linux, Windows, macOS, Android, and even iOS!
- ๐ ๏ธ Enhanced Accuracy: Added support for NAND archives (RW/RO) and fixed critical issues with `.zcci`/`.zcxi` ROM recognition.
- ๐ฑ Android Quality of Life: New “Auto-Map Controller” feature and a dedicated “Hotkey Enable” button bind for custom setups.
- ๐ฅ๏ธ Desktop Touchscreen Control: You can now use your controller’s touchpad to interact with the emulated 3DS touchscreen!
- ๐ Efficiency Boosts: Significant reductions in CPU usage when using Artic Base and improved parallelism for shader compilation tasks.
โ ๏ธ Important Compatibility Notes:
- Android Vanilla Users: The application ID has changed to `org.azahar_emu.azahar`. You must uninstall your current Vanilla version before installing this update. Your user data is safe, but you will need to re-select your directory during setup.
- Google Play Users: No changes here! The Google Play Store variant still uses the old package ID.
- iOS/tvOS Performance: Due to App Store restrictions on JIT compilation, performance may be lower on these platforms unless you are using very recent hardware.
- Vulkan Renderer: Texture filtering has been re-added for Vulkan! This update aims to resolve any previous stability issues you might have encountered.
